Although it doesn't reach the production values or length of *Dave the Diver*, *Nice Day for Fishing* is a delightful little gaming interlude that doesn’t need to revolutionize the genre to leave its mark. Short, nostalgic, fun, and lovingly crafted, it’s a perfect gift for longtime Viva La Dirt League fans and a great entry point for newcomers. If you're looking for a relaxing, light-hearted, surreal, and heartfelt experience — perhaps to enjoy during your beach vacation — then this is definitely your lucky day for fishing.

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade proves to be a missed opportunity. The inspiration from Hades is palpable, but suffocating repetition and a banal plot, filled with bland characters and predictable dialogue, undermine its potential. The lack of arena variety, linear progression, and an ever-same final boss make the experience too monotonous and predictable, tending to fizzle out after a few hours.

6.5 / 10.0 - Spirit of the North
May 21, 2025

Spirit of the North is an experience that places great emphasis on the emotional aspect of the adventure, offering an evocative journey through enchanting Nordic landscapes accompanied by a symbolic and quiet narrative. However, some technical and gameplay limitations can greatly affect the overall experience of the title. We still recommend giving it a chance, however, for those looking for a relaxing and exciting adventure.

7.7 / 10.0 - The Precinct
May 13, 2025

While not groundbreaking in innovation or story, The Precinct shines with solid mechanics and an inspired technical design. A love letter to noir and early 2000s sandbox games, it’s sure to appeal both to genre enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Spirit of the North 2 is a title that manages to retain the soul of its predecessor, improving various aspects and expanding the gaming experience with new mechanics. The evolution towards an open world offers greater freedom of exploration, making the red fox's journey even more immersive and meaningful. However, the transition to a more ambitious gameplay brings with it some technical imperfections that can affect the experience, especially in moments that require precision. Despite these obstacles, the game manages to convey its magic thanks to a fascinating visual narrative and an evocative artistic sector, consolidating its place among the most evocative indie adventures of recent years.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a title that has interesting ideas and classic roguelike mechanics, but unfortunately it still doesn't manage to be a 100% complete and interesting experience. The gameplay manages to entertain, albeit with some problems in terms of enemy artificial intelligence, while the level of performance is certainly the most negative aspect of the experience. It is a title to keep an eye on, which with some improvements and caution could certainly invite us to give it a second chance.

7.5 / 10.0 - Asylum
Apr 16, 2025

Asylum doesn’t reinvent the genre but pays a passionate and faithful tribute to it. With a carefully crafted atmosphere and engaging narrative, it marks a successful return for Senscape and a heartfelt homage to Scratches fans.

8 / 10.0 - Koira
Apr 15, 2025

Koira is a very intimate and delicate experience, capable of transmitting emotions not with words, but through gestures and silence, thanks to a sensitive narration and an impactful artistic component. Although the "puzzles" proposed are extremely simple, the bond between the two protagonists, which evolves along the journey, makes this adventure short but intense.

''Even if it doesn't revolutionize the genre, Commandos: Origins is a well-written love letter to its past, and with a couple of patches and a few more tweaks, it could become a benchmark title for tactical stealth fans. The game is a is a surprisingly solid return for one of the most beloved tactical series of the '90s. Kalypso and Claymore Game Studios have managed to revive the spirit of the saga, modernizing it just enough to make it appealing to a younger audience, without betraying the expectations of longtime fans.''

9 / 10.0 - Look Outside

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is a great homage to fans of the anime and manga series, adapting most of the story arcs while adding a few new ones. While most of the story has been summarized, the way it is told is very weak, with well-made but poorly animated 3D models. The combat is suitable for newcomers to fighting games, with not too many combos to learn and more strategy to exploit. Unfortunately, the online component doesn't have much to offer, and with a disastrous launch on PC it certainly didn't help players to grow fond of the title.

8.5 / 10.0 - South of Midnight
Apr 3, 2025

South of Midnight is an excellent action adventure, absolutely worth trying on Game Pass. It captivated and intrigued us thanks to its incredible artistic style, a visual and narrative-exploratory component deeply rooted in Louisiana folklore and American Southern Gothic, as well as the evocative use of Southern American folk music. The game features a profound narrative, an intriguing gameplay system, and a unique atmosphere. However, it falls short in terms of gameplay, presenting overly simplistic mechanics, a repetitive gameplay routine, and combat sequences that can feel monotonous, along with some limitations in exploration—elements that may not satisfy all players. Nonetheless, it is such an evocative and original game that we hope Compulsion Games will continue on this path, perhaps with a more complex and longer sequel.

7.5 / 10.0 - Do No Harm
Mar 18, 2025

Do No Harm is a simple but ambitious indie title, which mix elements of Victorian medicine and cosmic horror in an experience reminiscent of Papers, Please. The idea behind it is fascinating and the game manages to convey a sense of growing tension, between increasingly complex diagnoses and supernatural presences that threaten our mental and physical sanity. However, a poorly refined technical realization, an unbalanced difficulty and characters that are barely sketched out make it a little frustrating and boring. Ultimately, Do No Harm has the potential to be a unique medical/horror experience, but it needs corrections and improvements to reach the level of its ambitions. Corrections that fortunately Dart Games are committed to releasing soon.

Monster Hunter Wilds proves to be an ambitious evolution that aims to redefine the standards of the series, and the revolution implemented in worldbuilding and progression makes the title more immersive than ever, also thanks to the changes made to the gameplay. However, it is not without criticism, which we hope will reach the development team so that they can remedy it, as we have been used to. We are facing the present of the series, which draws on the past to create a point of reference that will dictate the future standards of the saga, and we cannot help but be curious to know what else Capcom has in store for us in the upcoming Title Updates.

Lost Records Part 1 is a half-successful graphic adventure that combines intriguing elements with aspects that don’t fully convince. While the story and narrative are of high quality, the pacing slows down in the second half, choices feel less impactful than expected, and the camera mechanics can sometimes feel forced.

9.5 / 10.0 - Two Point Museum
Mar 1, 2025

Two Point Museum is definitely the most complex and deep title in the series to date; it successfully combines the classic humor of the series with new and fun management mechanics. The expedition system introduces an element of adventure that makes the experience even more dynamic and the variety of artifacts and visual elements offers a remarkable depth of gameplay that will provide dozens of hours of entertainment to fans of the genre. However, those expecting a radical change compared to previous games in the series may be disappointed: the core of the gameplay and the audiovisual component remains very (too?) similar to that of Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus.
